Limited Championship Qualifier Sunday $5k
Wizards have announced the 2027 Limited Championships. You can read about that here Announcing the 2027 Magic Limited Championship.
At each of our Regional Championship Weekends and Magic Spotlight: The Hobbit™ event we will run Limited Championship Qualifiers. Each event will qualify players to the Limited Championship event in 2027.
Start Time: 9:00am
Entry: $120 AUD
Player Cap: 600 Open to all no qualification needed
Format: MAGIC: THE GATHERING | THE HOBBIT™ Sealed Deck. Swiss Rounds -2 + Top 32 Cut. Top 32 split into Four 8-Player single elimination. Booster Drafts.
Prizes:

Game Tokens $15
Game tokens can be purchased at Registration; you may receive some in special passes for the event. These tokens can be used in a number of different ways.
A $15 discount on scheduled event entries.
Play in a Commander Pod and redeem with a Judge for 20 Prize Tickets.
Convert at the Prize Wall for any Play Booster.
We may restrict or limit the sale of Game Tokens on the day of the event.

Prize Tickets
Prize tickets will be rewarded throughout the weekend. They can be redeemed at the Prize Wall for things like booster products, accessories, playmats and more!
Basic value is 10 Prize Tickets = $AUD10.

RK Post
Growing up in rural Illinois with a love for drawing, rk post was planning on a career as a veterinarian until illustration finally took over in his lengthy college experience. By his graduation from Northern Illinois University in 1994, rk post was freelancing for the fantasy gaming industry doing interior illustration for TSR (Dungeons & Dragons) and sever other companies, gradually teaching himself how to paint with acrylics and eventually oils. rk garnered a staff illustration position at TSR and after its acquisition, continued in this capacity with new parent company Wizards of the Coast painting cover illustrations for games and novels. He currently works as a self publishing entity, living in Washington state enjoying the weather and the scenic views.

Kieran Yanner
With a career in games and publishing spanning over 25 years, Kieran has worked as an illustrator, concept artist, UI artist and art director. Born and raised in the Australian coastal city of Darwin, Kieran relocated to the United States of America at the age of 20 to pursue his dreams as a games and publishing artist. He currently works as a full time freelance artist for a variety of clientele at his studio in Tacoma, Washington.

April Prime
April Prime is a concept artist and illustrator who has lived across Australia and overseas, including in Canada, Japan, and in the United States. She specialises in creature design, and most of her cards feature goblins, monsters, or cute critters and wolf puppies. April's favourite Magic set is Bloomburrow, sadly she wasn't able to illustrate any cards, but she was given the opportunity to work on concept art and premilimary illustrations to help bring the set to life. One day she hopes to illustrate a flying shark. April currently lives in Emu Plains, Australia, with her two hairless sphynx cats, Godskin Apostle and Gargoyle, and her partner, Doug.

Kelogsloops
Hieu is an Australian artist from Melbourne who goes by the alias kelogsloops. His watercolour paintings often depict female portraiture inspired from surreal and fantasy art styles. In recent years, he has created a number of artworks for Magic: the Gathering, from his own Secret Lair Guest Artist series in 2022, to the more recent Dandân set.

Alex Stone
Alex Stone is an artist and illustrator from Brooklyn, New York, currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Alex’s passion for painting is fueled by a love of narrative visual storytelling, and his vibrant work often recalls a sense of awe and nostalgia. He has been drawn to fantastical subject matter since he was young, and painting has always been a way for him to express his love of the genre. Alex graduated with a BFA from the Illustration program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Since then, he has had the privilege of working on many exciting properties such as Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Hearthstone among others. His paintings have also found their way into numerous private art collections.

Benjamin Ee
Benjamin Ee is an Illustrator hailing from Perth, and now residing in Melbourne with his cat Winklen. His work is known for his vivid colours and emotional storytelling, and has featured in 21 cards, starting all the way back in Strixhaven. When he's not making videogames as Art Director for Summerfall Studios, he's chasing the beauty of the world one brushstroke at a time!
