Now we have added a 2027 Limited Championship Qualifier an event that can qualify you to the 2027 Limited Championships. This event also comes with a $USD5,000 prize pool and is open to everyone.
Commander Zone and Side Events - The RC weekends aren't just for competitive play; we have a dedicated Commander Zone where you can come along and play Commander all weekend. The event also has many different side events including Sealed and Constructed events and the ever popular Mystery Booster 2 events.

Last Chance Qualifier Single Event Entry
Still want to compete in the Main Event? Last Chance Qualifiers are your last chance to win entry into the ANZ Super Series Finals. These are 16 player single elimination events that will launch as soon as we have 16 players.
- Start Time: On Demand from 10am
- Entry: $30 AUD, per Event
- Format: 16 Player Single Elimination – Standard Constructed
- Prizes:
- 1st – Entry into Regional Championships.
- 2nd – 200 Prize Tickets
- 3rd/4th – 100 Prize Tickets
- Participants each receive Shoot the Sheriff foil
Last Chance Qualifier Day Pass
Same as Last Chance Qualifier Single entry but you can enter as many times as you need to qualify.
- Start Time: Last Chance Qualifiers begin at 10am
- Entry: $100 AUD, unlimited entry to Last Chance Qualifiers (until you qualify)
- Day Pass holders will also receive a playmat of choice and a Shoot the Sheriff Foil for each LCQ they play, minimum 4 – While stocks last!
Australian 7 Point Highlander (7PH)
7 Point Highlander is Australia’s own homegrown Magic format. Created in the 90’s, 7PH is now played globally. With similar rules to the Vintage format, there’s just one exception – there can only be one copy of any card!

Limited Championship Qualifier Sunday $5k
Wizards have announced the 2027 Limited Championships. You can read about that here Announcing the 2027 Magic Limited Championship.
At each of our Regional Championship Weekends and Spotlight Brisbane event we will run Limited Championship Qualifiers. Each event will qualify players to the Limited Championship event in 2027.
- Start Time: 9:00am
- Entry: $90 AUD
- Player Cap: 200 Open to all no qualification needed
- Format: Lorwyn Eclipsed Sealed Deck. Swiss Rounds -2 + Top 16 Cut. Top 16 split into two 8-Player single elimination. Booster Drafts.

- Winner: of each Top Cut Draft $USD1000 + Qualification to 2027 Limited Championships
- 2nd of each Top Cut Draft $USD500
- 3rd/4th of each Top Cut Draft $USD250
- 5th-8th of each Top Cut Draft $USD125

We will be using MTG Melee to run the Regional Championships. Once you have purchased your event ticket, we will add you to the tournament and you will be able to submit your deck list. We will be manually doing this each day or so leading up to the event, so check back 24 hours after purchasing your ticket to ensure you have been entered. ANZ Super Series Cycle 11 Regional Championships - Sydney | Melee
If you do not already have a MTG Melee account, you will need to create one. We have attached instructions on how to do this. - please use the email address we contacted you on, as that is what we use to pre-register you for the tournament. If you already have a Melee account, you can change your email address in your profile if necessary or contact us if we need to change our records.
The ANZ Super Series Regional Championships will be run under Open Deck List rules. All competitors must submit their deck list online by 7pm AEDT on Friday 13th March. Deck lists will be public from 9am Saturday morning. At the start of each round, you will receive a copy of your opponent’s deck list to peruse before your match. Deck lists will be published worldwide by Wizards of the Coast.
About Bankstown Sports Club
Bankstown Sports Club is a Registered NSW Club. Under NSW Law you will be required to present ID to enter the building. PLEASE have this with you when you arrive, otherwise you may not be able to enter the venue and therefore compete in the event. When you do sign in get a print out of your entry and then you only have to show this when you come and go.
The Club has a plethora of food, drink, and entertainment facilities available, all within the club.
Accommodation
I strongly recommend the Mercure Bankstown Hotel for accommodation. The hotel is attached to the venue and is an easy lift down to the venue itself.

Schedule
Friday 13th March will have a range of side events which you are welcome to compete in. As a qualified player you can NOT play in the Last Chance Qualifier events.
You do not have to be at the venue on Friday, but we do need your deck list submitted by 7pm via MTG Melee.
Saturday 14th March – Regional Championships Main Event
Format: STANDARD Constructed - Swiss rounds based on attendance with Top 8 cut*
9:30am: Player Meeting.
10:00am: Swiss Rounds Commence
Lunch Break: Approximately after Round 3
All Swiss rounds will be played on Saturday
Sunday 15th March - Top 8 Final Cut
10:45: Top8 Player Meeting
12:00: Quarter Finals
1:00pm: 1st Semi Finals
2:00pm: 2nd Semi Finals
3:00pm: Super Series Final

NEW LIMITED CHAMPIONSHIPS Event
In October Wizards announced the 2027 Magic Limited Championships
Announcing the 2027 Magic Limited Championship
This will replace the 'Sunday $5K' event that we have traditionally run. Full details will be on the website but the event will be Swiss rounds -2, then cut to Top16, with the top16 splitting into 2 draft pods. The winner of each draft pod will win the qualification to the Magic Limited Championships. This is an OPEN Sealed event, we are expecting a large turnout and therefore a long day. The top8 Draft must be played.
Other Side Events
There are a host of other side events over the weekend which will be open to the public. Ticketing for side events including the Limited Championships will be available in the new year.

Deferrals
If you are unable to attend, you can apply for a Deferral of your qualification to the next Regional Championships. You can only defer your qualification ONCE and your request may not be granted.
